Carta de ex-mission\u00e1rio da Igreja de Deus (7\u00ba Dia) fala da rela\u00e7\u00e3o da Igreja Adventista da Promessa com a Igreja de Deus (7\u00ba Dia) americana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No in\u00edcio dos anos 1990, houve um mal-estar entre a Igreja de Deus (7\u00ba Dia) e a Igreja Adventista da Promessa sobre a afilia\u00e7\u00e3o com a Igreja de Deus (7\u00ba Dia) dos EUA. Abaixo, um documento rar\u00edssimo sobre esta hist\u00f3ria. Trata-se de uma carta enviada pelo ex-mission\u00e1rio Geucimar Brilhador, que, nessa \u00e9poca, atuava como mission\u00e1rio da Igreja, ao saudoso pastor Manoel Galdino Soares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Al\u00e9m deste tema central, na carta podemos encontrar respostas para quest\u00f5es sobre a hist\u00f3ria da Igreja de Deus (7\u00ba Dia) aqui no Brasil, especialmente sobre a afilia\u00e7\u00e3o com a Igreja americana. Em meados dos anos 90, surgiu uma cis\u00e3o na Igreja do Brasil, e muitos debates ocorreram em raz\u00e3o de das ra\u00edzes hist\u00f3ricas, que envolviam a cren\u00e7a numa linhagem ininterrupta da Igreja desde os dias apost\u00f3licos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A carta \u00e9 uma prova de que a Igreja de Deus do Brasil estava ligada \u00e0 Igreja de Deus de Meridian, Idaho, e n\u00e3o \u00e0 Igreja de Deus de Denver, Colorado, a qual considera a Igreja Adventista da Promessa como sua representante aqui no Brasil. Tamb\u00e9m, vemos que em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao M\u00e9xico, nossa liga\u00e7\u00e3o se deu com a Igreja cuja sede estava em Lago Managua, que posteriormente deixou de se chamar Igreja de Deus (7\u00ba Dia) para ser nomeada apenas com o nome Igreja de Deus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Importante, ainda notar a data da carta. Ela revela o quanto os primeiros l\u00edderes da Igreja de Deus no Brasil sabiam dessa hist\u00f3ria de linhagem, e, apesar das inconveni\u00eancias, hist\u00f3ricas continuaram defendendo veladamente a ideia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
