Reuniu um grande n\u00famero de seguidores, mas seguiu seu pr\u00f3prio caminho ap\u00f3s o fracasso da profecia.<br><strong>Nota:<\/strong> Os <em>Davidians<\/em> (ramo de David Koresh) foram uma dissid\u00eancia dos <em>Millerites<\/em> (adventistas do s\u00e9timo dia), assim como a <em>Worldwide Church of God<\/em> (WCG). Suas doutrinas e ensinamentos eram muito semelhantes aos da WCG.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Joseph Bates (1792\u20131872)<\/strong><br>Introduziu a observ\u00e2ncia do s\u00e1bado entre os <em>Millerites<\/em> depois de ler um artigo de Thomas M. White (1827\u20131915)<\/strong><br>Esposa de James S. White. Aceitou o s\u00e1bado do s\u00e9timo dia ap\u00f3s ler e concordar com os artigos de Joseph Bates. Reivindicou ter recebido \u201co dom da profecia\u201d por volta de 1844 e afirmou ter vis\u00f5es e sonhos de \u201cverdades b\u00edblicas\u201d. Tornou-se a autoridade m\u00e1xima da Igreja Adventista do S\u00e9timo Dia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Gilbert Cranmer (1814\u20131904)<\/strong><br>Seguiu originalmente William Miller e aceitou o s\u00e1bado ap\u00f3s ouvir Joseph Bates. Cremos na iminente vinda de Cristo. Fundou a <strong>Igreja de Cristo<\/strong>, posteriormente conhecida como <strong>Igreja de Deus, Stanberry, Missouri<\/strong>, e mais tarde chamada <strong>Igreja de Deus do S\u00e9timo Dia<\/strong>. Ensinava que toda a Lei de Mois\u00e9s jamais foi abolida e deveria ser observada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>G. G. Rupert (1847\u20131922)<\/strong><br>Ministro independente da Igreja de Deus do S\u00e9timo Dia. Observava a Lei de Mois\u00e9s e atribu\u00eda import\u00e2ncia prof\u00e9tica ao ano de 1933. Acreditava nos ciclos de tempo e ensinava que a Igreja de Deus observadora do s\u00e1bado era a \u00fanica verdadeira igreja crist\u00e3 sobre a Terra por sucess\u00e3o direta.<br>Publicou <em>The Remnant of Israel<\/em>, obra da qual Herbert W. Armstrong plagiou amplamente.<br><strong>Nota:<\/strong> Herbert W. Armstrong copiou muitos escritos de Rupert \u2014 fato amplamente documentado. (Ver: <em>As ra\u00edzes religiosas de Herbert W. Armstrong<\/em>.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Andrew N. Dugger (1886\u20131975)<\/strong><br>Filho de A. F. Dugger, o primeiro vice-presidente da Igreja de Deus do S\u00e9timo Dia. Ministro da denomina\u00e7\u00e3o desde 1906, foi presidente da Confer\u00eancia Geral e editor do <em>Bible Advocate<\/em>.<br>Acreditava poder restaurar a continua\u00e7\u00e3o da \u201cigreja primitiva\u201d do Novo Testamento. Ele e C. O. Dodd (que era Testemunha de Jeov\u00e1) escreveram <em>A True History of a True Religion<\/em>, obra posteriormente considerada deliberadamente falsificada.<br>Herman L. Hoeh, da WCG, escreveu mais tarde <em>A True History of the True Church<\/em> (1959), que tamb\u00e9m foi exposta como falsifica\u00e7\u00e3o.<br>Dugger rompeu com a igreja de Stanberry, Missouri, e estabeleceu nova sede em Salem, Virg\u00ednia Ocidental, em 1933.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Herbert W. Armstrong (1892\u20131986)<\/strong><br>Sua esposa, Loma, foi influenciada por Ora Runcorn, da Igreja de Deus do S\u00e9timo Dia (sediada em Stanberry, Missouri), em 1926. Armstrong foi ordenado ministro dessa igreja em 1932, mas separou-se de Andrew N. Dugger em 1933, filiando-se \u00e0 Igreja de Deus do S\u00e9timo Dia de Salem, Virg\u00ednia Ocidental, onde se tornou um dos \u201csetenta anci\u00e3os\u201d.<br>Em 1937, teve sua licen\u00e7a ministerial revogada ap\u00f3s tentar introduzir suas teorias sobre o <em>Israelismo Brit\u00e2nico<\/em> e os dias sagrados.<br>Fundou a <strong>Radio Church of God<\/strong> em 1934 (renomeada <strong>Worldwide Church of God<\/strong> em 1968). Ap\u00f3s sua morte, no mesmo ano, seu filho <strong>Joseph Tkach Jr.<\/strong> tornou-se pastor-geral e presidente.<br>Em abril de 2009, a <strong>Igreja Mundial de Deus<\/strong> mudou oficialmente seu nome nos Estados Unidos para <strong>Grace Communion International<\/strong>.
